About GASA

The Guernsey Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) represents the Swim England subscribed swimming organisations in the Island - currently, the Beau Sejour Barracudas Swimming Club and the Guernsey Swimming Club. The committee consists of an equal number of representatives from the two clubs. The role of GASA is to ensure the Swim England and FINA rules are applied to local registered galas and to help the clubs promote swimming within the Island.  It also takes responsibility for the selection of the Island's Swimming Representative team.


The events which fall under the umbrella of GASA, mostly on an annual basis, are as follows:

  • 100m Sprint Gala
  • The Channel Island Championships
  • The Interinsular
  • Island Games
  • Youth Commonwealth Games
  • Commonwealth Games

The Guernsey Amateur Swimming Association LBG "GASA" is a company limited by guarantee and is registered at the Guernsey Registry with company number 45136.  GASA is registered as a charity with the Guernsey Registry under reference CH252.  GASA is also registered with the Association of Guernsey Charities with AGC registration number 450.


GASA is very fortunate to have secured sponsorship from the OAK group which allows us to support local youngsters to achieve their goals.
